On this day in 1965, Bob Dylan courageously took the stage at the Newport Folk Festival with his Fender Stratocaster and played electrified versions of now-classics such as “Maggie’s Farm” and “Like A Rolling Stone.” Dylan’s unconventional performance was almost immediately met with boos and shouts of dissatisfaction.
Nearly a half-century later, a woman claims to have found the iconic Stratocaster that outraged the crowd back in 1965. History Detectives investigates if the guitar in her possession is the actual iconic instrument that changed Rock ‘n’ Roll.
